The Mandalorian season 2 finale was filled with tons of reveals with huge implications for not only the future of the series, but the entire Star Wars universe as well, and that continued right into the post-credits sequence, revealing a new Mandalorian spin-off is on the way based on Boba Fett.
The scene starts by showing us the classic double suns of Tatooine before moving in on Jabba's Palace, or whatever it is known as now after his death in Return of the Jedi.
We see Jabba's Throne now with a new ruler, Bib Fortuna.
Fennec then appears through the staircase entrance and easily disposes of everyone but the newest in the long line of slaves and the leader. In the process, she frees the slave.
Boba Fett then comes in, to the shock of Bib Fortuna who, like most of us for the past few decades, had thought he died in Return of the Jedi.
Boba then disposes of him to claim the throne for himself with Fennec at his side as the screen cuts to black.
This was Disney's way of revealing that in December 2021 Disney Plus will be getting a new series called The Book of Boba Fett based on the fan-favorite bounty hunter who has now taken control of Jabba's former crime empire.
This is an exciting development that follows the announcement of two other Mandalorian spin-offs during Disney Investor Day as well as numerous other Star Wars series also in the pipeline for Disney Plus.
We will be sure to keep you updated as more information comes out about this series in the coming weeks and months.
