Lake Compounce has celebrated Christmas over the past several years through an elaborate holiday celebration known as Holiday Lights. Since it is not being offered by the park this year due to the COVID19 Pandemic, we are paying tribute to the holiday event.
This event covered the entire park in Christmas lights, with the entrance plaza getting a massive Christmas tree that towers over the entire park.
The park is covered in Christmas decorations, with no spot being left empty. The trees and bushes are filled with lights. Custom light displays fill every empty plaza of the park.
The full park is filled with holiday joy, with everything from special lights to photo locations throughout the park.
The park even gets a few attractions with special Christmas and holiday-themed overlays that are exclusive to the event.
The Dino Expedition is covered in Christmas lights that dance to holiday music alongside the dinosaur animatronics. It is one of the best sections of the park to walk through and it honestly improves this section of the park from its normal version.
The C P Huntington Train is turned into the North Pole Express, playing Christmas music for the round trip journey around the park that features a collection of special Christmas lights on the opposite side of the lake, while also giving great views of the park itself decorated for the holidays.
They also use the Starlight Theater as a home for a variety of Christmas themed fun, from cookies to meeting the big man Santa Claus himself.
The park makes itself a great place to celebrate the most wonderful time of the year, filling itself with Christmas cheer in every corner.
Every part of the park is filled with fun decorations and holiday music, ensuring the celebration is omnipresent throughout the park.
Hopefully, this event will return better than ever next year, bringing Christmas to the oldest continuously operating amusement park in America in a unique way only they can.
