Merry Christmas From Theme Parks and Entertainment

Dream Lights Cinderella Castle Walt Disney World

All of us here at Theme Parks and Entertainment want to wish all of you out there a Merry Christmas.

This year, Christmas in theme parks is different than any other year. Many parks are closed, and so many of the special yearly traditions could not go on amid the ongoing pandemic.

Hopefully, this momentary pause will make us all appreciate not only the elaborate displays and shows that we miss this year, but the work that goes into them.

For every seasonal theme park show or attraction, countless hours of work are put in by designers, construction teams, performers, and more, and when these don't return, these people lose out more than we as visitors do.

But we should not despair. This year is almost over and we can put our hope in that this moment is a temporary one, and when these displays, attractions, and more return next year we will appreciate them more than ever.

So Merry Christmas on this most strange holiday, and let us look back on holidays of the past that we loved so much, and holidays that are still to come in the future.
