Disney just revealed the barges for Harmonious, the upcoming nighttime spectacular coming to Epcot featuring Disney music, will become a permanent feature of the World Showcase Lagoon.
The barges will become permanent parts of the World Showcase Lagoon, helping every night to add magic to the nighttime fireworks. During the day they will give World Showcase Lagoon a massive intricate fountain that will permanently change the look of this iconic Epcot location.
These barges are massive, so making them fountains will hopefully make them more visually appealing in their central location in the park.
Unlike the barges used in previous Epcot fireworks spectaculars like IllumiNations Reflections of Earth, these barges will not be moving during the day in and out of the park. They will give Epcot fireworks shows new features that have never been seen in the parks before, including a new combination of LED screens and water screens to go along with fireworks.
We do not know exactly how these will look, but it will change the park forever, hopefully for the better, bringing the latest Disney fireworks technology to the park in a way that also adds a special new daytime fountain.
