Disney creates numerous attractions and many take inspiration from lost attractions of the past. But some actually take more from previous attractions than inspiration.

We are going to share with you five times Disney reused elements of former attractions in other attractions.

Malestrom Boats in Frozen Ever After

When Frozen Ever After opened replacing Malestrom, it used the exact same ride vehicles that had previously been used in the original ride in Epcot's Norway Pavilion.

America Sings Animatronics

Disney would reuse the animatronics from the lost theater show America Sings in multiple ways. Most famously they would be utilized in the Disneyland version of Splash Mountain, even playing a role in why it got built in the first place.

Two of the geese animatronics were also stripped down and became the droid animatronics in the Disneyland version of Star Tours, being featured throughout the queue of the ride to this day. They even still have webbed feet.

Gran Fiesta Tour Animatronics

Gran Fiesta Tour would not open with animatronics but it would vastly improve the ride. But these were not original animatronics, but reused ones from Mickey Mouse Revue. This ride had been an opening day attraction at the Magic Kingdom before being shipped to Tokyo Disneyland. After its closure there Disney World got the animatronics back and reincorporated them into this attraction in Epcot.

Festival of The Lion King

The four floats of Festival of The Lion King actually began their life as floats in a Disneyland limited time Lion King-themed parade. They were then sent to Disney's Animal Kingdom to be used in what was intended to be a temporary Lion King show. Needless to say, it was not temporary and has continued to be one of the most popular attractions at Walt Disney World ever since.

Seven Dwarfs Mine Train Animatronics

In the final scene of Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, you can see a recreation of the Dopey dancing scene from the iconic film Snow White. This was created using reused animatronics from the opening day Magic Kingdom attraction Snow White's Scary Adventure, making for a nice tie between the two iconic attractions based on the original Disney animated film to grace the Magic Kingdom over the years.
