Conclusions and Final Thoughts

Wanda and Vision Say Goodbye WandaVision Series Finale Disney Plus

This series consistently defied expectations and captured attention for a two-month run. The weekly release schedule was perfect for this type of show, allowing it to gradually build on an ongoing mystery each week with enough time to unpack many of the smaller details and reveals.

While the reveals were notable, what is also notable are the things that were not revealed as anticipated. Mephisto never showed up. Pietro was not the X-Men version of the character and the multiverse was never encountered.

We are left to ponder what will happen next with no answer coming next week or anytime soon, likely not until the return of Wanda in Doctor Strange Multiverse of Madness.

WandaVision was an emotional examination of grief and love and broke what was becoming a uniform mold for major Marvel releases in the best possible way. Hopefully, it is a sign of things to come being just as experimental and creating new ways to tell superhero stories in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
