Disney Adventurer
The Disney Parks are currently expanding at a rapid pace, with new rides planned for nearly every Disney Parks around the world. So here is a rundown of all of the Disney rides coming to various parks around the world as of June 2021.
We are going to discuss both when the rides are set to open as well as all currently known details about the ride. This list will be organized by park in the order that the resort the park is a part of opened.
Disneyland Resort
Disneyland
Mickey And Minnie's Runaway Railway is currently under construction in Toontown in Disneyland, and it is set to replace several of the shops in the land. Construction is currently visible from within the land and the ride is set to open in 2023.
A currently untitled Princess and the Frog ride is set to replace Splash Mountain. The ride will reutilize the currently existing log flume system. A timeframe for the ride is unknown as Splash Mountain has yet to close to allow work on the ride.
Disney California Adventure
An untitled Avengers ride is set to be added to Avengers Campus. The entrance building for the ride is already present, but the ride itself has yet to be constructed. The ride's status has not been updated in the aftermath of the pandemic speculation that the ride has been canceled or indefinitely delayed.
Walt Disney World
Magic Kingdom
Tron Lightcycle Run is a roller coaster clone of the same ride from Shanghai Disneyland currently under construction in Tomorrowland. The ride was planned for the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World, but due to delays related to the pandemic, it is set to open in 2022.
Epcot
Moana Journey of Water has recently started construction once demolition was completed in its area. The timeline for this project is unknown. The experience is set to be a walkthrough featuring imagery from Moana that involves edutainment related to water.
Guardians of the Galaxy is a currently under construction roller coaster replacing Universe of Energy. The former building of that attraction will be the queue line and station for the new ride, which is mainly housed in a new building. The roller coaster will feature a launch and controlled spinning elements.
A Mary Poppins ride has been announced for the United Kingdom Pavilion in Epcot's World Showcase. No announcements have been made about this attraction following the pandemic and references to it have been removed from Disney's websites leading to speculation it has been canceled.
Remy's Ratatouille Adventure is a clone of the same ride located at Walt Disney Studios in Paris. It is set to open on October 1st, 2021.
Wonderous China is a circle vision show announced to be replacing Reflections of China. This project has been left without an update since the pandemic leading to speculation of its cancelation.
The Play Pavilion is an interactive plaza that is set to open in the near future, although an exact date is uncertain.
Disney's Hollywood Studios
No new rides are currently planned for Disney's Hollywood Studios.
Disney's Animal Kingdom
No new rides are currently planned for Disney's Animal Kingdom.
Tokyo Disneyland Resort
Tokyo Disneyland
There are no new rides currently planned for Tokyo Disneyland.
Tokyo Disney Sea
An unknown Peter Pan ride is coming to the Fantasy Springs area currently being built in the park. The exact ride system is unknown. It is supposedly will be one of the most elaborate rides in the section of the park.
An unknown Tinker Belle-themed ride is coming to Fantasy Springs. It will be an outdoor flat ride in a Neverland mini area.
A Tangled boat ride is set to open as part of the Fantasy Springs expansion of Tokyo Disney Sea. It will feature both indoor and outdoor segments.
A Frozen-themed boat ride will be opening as a part of the Fantasy Springs expansion to the park.
All of the rides of Fantasy Springs are supposed to open in 2023.
Disneyland Paris
Disneyland Paris
There are no new rides currently planned for Disneyland Paris.
Walt Disney Studios
A clone of one of the rides of Star Wars Galaxy's Edge is planned for Walt Disney Studios. It is thought to be Rise of the Resistance based on planning documents but this is currently unannounced. This has not yet started construction beyond ground clearing so there is no timeframe for when it will open.
A version of Web Slingers A Spiderman Adventure is set to be added as part of Avengers Campus. It is supposed to open with the land in 2022.
An unnamed Iron Man roller coaster is set to replace Rock N Roller Coaster. It will utilize the same roller coaster track and feature both Iron Man and Captain Marvel. It is set to open with the rest of the land in 2022.
A currently unnamed clone of Frozen Ever After is being built as part of an Arendelle themed land. The opening timeline of this ride has yet to be announced.
Hong Kong Disneyland
Hong Kong Disneyland
A roller coaster called Wandering Oaken's Sliding Sleighs is set to open as part of an upcoming Frozen-themed land. It will utilize the same ride system as Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. As of the most recent information, it is supposed to open in 2022.
A Frozen Ever After clone is set to open as a part of a Frozen-themed land set to open in 2022.
Shanghai Disneyland
Shanghai Disneyland
A currently untitled Zootopia ride is under construction. It reportedly will use a ride system similar to Test Track/ Radiator Springs Racers and be located entirely inside. It was set to open in 2021.
