Top 5 Disney Parks Original Songs Since 2000

Sleeping Beauty Castle Disneyland

Disney Parks create unique environments that you can immerse yourself in, and one of the most special pieces of these worlds is the music that fills them. Today we are sharing with you five of the best Disney Parks original songs to premiere at the parks in the last twenty years.

These songs can be from any attraction, parade, or show from the parks, with the only two conditions being they can't simply rework music from films, and they have to have lyrics.

5. Magic Happens

This is a recent song, that barely got any use in the parks due to the coronavirus pandemic. Written by Todrick Hall, it is an exciting high energy theme song for the parade of the same name. Hopefully, it returns to the park after the pandemic, and we get to enjoy the music in Disneyland again soon.

4. In The Big Blue World

This song has spread through the Disney Parks in everything related to Finding Nemo. From the opening number of Finding Nemo The Musical to the finales of The Seas With Nemo and Friends and Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage. Written by the team behind Frozen it perfectly fits the Finding Nemo films and feels like it could have been in the original film. Honestly, any of the songs from the musical could be on this list but we chose the standout opening number.

3. We Are One

Rivers of Light may have been spotty overall, but the undeniable highlight of the show was its original score. There is a reason the music survived the transition of the show to one including Disney characters and music. The main song We Are One ties in perfectly with the themes of Disney's Animal Kingdom and is quite catchy. Hopefully, the song finds a new place in the park now that its show is no more.

2. On This Day

This song gave a great theme to the best show to ever grace the Cinderella Castle stage. The lyrics and rhythm are infectious and pull you in as you pass by the show.

It exists to pull you into the show and it does its job wonderfully.

1. Happily Ever After

This song premiered as part of a stage show in Hong Kong Disneyland, but became most famous for being the title song of the new fireworks show at the Magic Kingdom, with vocals by Angie Keilhauer and Jordan Fisher.

This song has now become the perfect end to any day at the Magic Kingdom, and a great high energy anthem of all of Disney World.
