Some of the most amazing Disney attractions are the incredible roller coasters they have built over the years, giving you a great combination of thrills and Disney magic.

Today we are ranking all of the current roller coasters in Walt Disney World from worst to best.

7. Barnstormer

Barnstormer Roller Coaster Fantasyland Magic Kingdom Disney World

This is a simple massively cloned kiddie coaster that is barely themed in any way, and it really just does not feel like it belongs in a Disney Park. It has even declined in quality over the years, with major theming elements removed when it switched from its original Toontown Fair theme to its current New Fantasyland theme.

6. Slinky Dog Dash

Slinky Dog Dash is the newest roller coaster at Walt Disney World and it is a lot of fun. It is only the second launched coaster at Disney's Hollywood Studios and is the first roller coaster themed on the Toy Story franchise.

The theming is light, but the roller coaster track is built into the storyline of the ride. It ranking so low is a tribute to the quality of the rest of the coasters at the park. Its best elements are the launch in the middle of the ride, with impressive theming, and the Weezy animatronic at the very end.

5. Seven Dwarfs Mine Train

Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is a modern high tech roller coaster based on the first Disney animated film. It features swinging ride vehicles, and an impressive dark ride section featuring the Seven Dwarfs in their diamond mine.

This ranks low only due to being one of the shorter roller coasters at Walt Disney World. It is a great ride, but it feels like it is missing a part.

4. Space Mountain

Space Mountain was the first roller coaster at Walt Disney World and still remains a great ride. It has gotten a bit rough in recent years, but the experience of riding through a star-filled black void is still an unforgettable Disney experience.

This ride remains an unforgettable experience that is one of the most popular rides in all of Walt Disney World.

3. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is a runaway train-themed ride that takes place in an abandoned mining town. You hop aboard one of the trains and journey through a Disney version of the wild west past collapsing mines, bats, dinosaur skeletons, and goats on the wildest ride in the wilderness.

It features an amazing combination of theming and thrills that gives you an entirely immersive experience all throughout the ride.

2. Rock N Roller Coaster

Rock N Roller Coaster is by far the most intense roller coaster at Walt Disney World. It follows you as you take a super-stretch limo to an AEROSMITH concert, featuring the fastest launch in Walt Disney World and the only inversions on any coaster at the resort.

The coaster is amazing, but is lightly themed, almost on purpose, so as not to take away from the raw thrills of the experience.

1. Expedition Everest

Expedition Everest in the Distance Asia Disney's Animal Kingdom

Expedition Everest is by far the best coaster at Walt Disney World. The perfect mix of thrills and theming, it is a crowning achievement of Disney Imagineering. Following a journey into the Himalayas where you suddenly come into contact with a mythological force of nature that sets you on a crazy roller coaster ride.

This ride features a massive mountain, immersive settings in every scene, and one of the most elaborate queue lines in any Disney attraction in the world. It does all of this without sacrificing any thrills and prividing some of the strongest forces on any Disney rides, featuring both forwards and background sections, as well as launches.
