The Fox and the Hound is a classic Disney animated film that marked a transition period in Disney animation, and it would make a wonderful addition to Disney Magic Kingdoms.
So today I am speculating on which characters might get added to the game in a potential update based on the film. This is not based on any hints or rumors, just my own personal speculation.
First, I think this film would almost certainly be a permanent content update. It is an older Disney film, which are normally featured as permanent content, it is less popular at the moment, and it has relatively few characters, all reasons that point to it being a smaller permanent content update.
The first two characters I think would be added would obviously be Tod and Cooper. They are the titular fox and hound and the only characters really featured in the movie from begining to end. The whole movie is about their on and off friendship and battles with one another.
I really can't imagine the game adding many more characters from the film. These two are really the only ones Disney ever uses when promoting the film and they are certainly the most remembered from the movie.
If they needed to make it slightly bigger, I think the game might add both of their owners, but I think that is an incredibly small chance.
My biggest question would be if the game would feature the characters as children or as adults.
Fox and the Hound is a wonderfully sweet film, that could easily inspire a nice update to Disney Magic Kingdoms.
