The Tron Lightcycle Run roller coaster at the Magic Kingdom was originally set to open in time for the 50th anniversary of the Magic Kingdom and Walt Disney World. So how is construction looking towards the end of October 2021.
The actual coaster has been complete for a long time, but the roof structure is now nearing completion at the park.
As you can now see, the tiles of the roof are being added, which will eventually form the same color changing canopy that can be seen on the original version of the ride as it operates in Tomorrowland in Shanghai Disneyland.
During the day this canopy will merely be the blue color that you can begin to see right now, but at night it will change colors and light up, becoming a stand out part of the Tomorrowland night time skyline, and the night time skyline of the Magic Kingdom as a whole.
If you are interested in looking at the construction of Tron Lightcycle Run on an upcoming trip to the Magic Kingdom, the best views of the roller coaster at the moment are from onboard either the Tomorrowland Speedway of the Peoplemover.
