Rumors are swirling that Disneyland will finally announce a reopening date, potentially as early as today when guidelines are announced for California theme parks to reopen, with the date of September 16th being floated as a potential date for the parks to reopen. The announcement now appears it may be imminent, whenever California announces guidelines.
Odds are the entire resort would not reopen all at once, with attractions like Frozen Live at the Hyperion and other live performances will not be able to go on.
There is always a chance some shows could be performed in an alternate fashion. In Epcot, we have seen musical groups that normally perform in small intimate settings moved to the America Gardens theater. Perhaps we could see the Disneyland Band, Pearly Band, or Dapper Dans move into the Fantasyland Theatre, which is outside and normally holds Mickey and the Magical Map.
Disneyland will likely be in a better position than Walt Disney World when it reopens, with a higher number of local visitors making it easier to open a theme park when travel internationally does not exist, and travel between states is exceedingly difficult.
