Disney's America is one of the most famous never built Disney theme parks to ever be announced. It was planned to be built in Virginia to take advantage of the larger Washington DC tourist area. The park was planned to be a patriotic look at American history.
It eventually went down in a firestorm of political and academic controversy, but it would go on to inspire several other classic Disney attractions.
