Disney has rides designed for every kind of traveler at their parks, with a wide variety of thrill and fear levels.
But not every ride is for everyone coming to Walt Disney World.

5. Haunted Mansion
The Haunted Mansion is a dark ride about a mansion ruled by 999 happy haunts. While far from a scary attraction, the concept may be a little scary, and the dark setting surrounded by ghosts can be a bit frightening to some.
4. Space Mountain
Just the basic concept of Space Mountain, a high-speed roller coaster in the dark is a bit frightened to some people. This coaster has also become rougher over the years, adding to the fear factor as time goes on. It is certainly more intense than it used to be.
3. Expedition Everest
Expedition Everest spends a lot of time building an ominous tone. From the gradual introduction of the Yeti in the queue, to its creepy soundtrack, until it throws you backwards into a battle for survival with a mythical creature. This is where we move into actually scary territory. Disney wants you on edge before the thrills even begin, and then it takes you on one of the most intense coaster experiences at Walt Disney World.
2. Rock N Roller Coaster
This ride is the most intense coaster at Walt Disney World. It gets on this list from thrill factor alone, with three inversions and an intense launch to 60 MPH. This ride is not for anyone afraid of coasters or going upside down. This is all made more intense by the rides dark, black-lit setting, and rock music backing. It is an amazingly intense experience, but not for the faint of heart.
Honorable Mention: Primeval Whirl
This ride is scary for all the wrong reasons. Considering last year it closed temporarily in response to an incident on an identical ride in another park it should be all too obvious why it deserves to be called out.
1. The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror
There is no denying that this is the definitive scary attraction at Walt Disney World. From the moment you enter the queue, every detail is meant to play with your senses and build suspense. It feels like you are trapped in an episode of the classic series, with things continuing to be just enough out of the ordinary to stress you out. Your heart is already pumping long before the drop comes.
This ride is a master class in building suspense, and by far the most horrifying attraction at Walt Disney World.
