The opening of Disney's MGM Studios at Walt Disney World was a star-studded event with performances by stars from all parts of the entertainment industry.
One of the best of these was the elaborate performance of 42nd Street led by musical theatre legend Ann Miller, star of classic musicals from On The Town to Mame.
This was a full-scale production number of the Broadway classic song done throughout the Streets of America was the lead into the finale of the grand opening ceremony of Disney's MGM Studios (since renamed Disney's Hollywood Studios).
This would be the last major time Ann Miller would dance in a number like this for the public. Her career would continue for another decade, but it would not see another performance on this level.
