Disney has announced as a part of the Destination D23 presentation that the popular Festival of Fantasy parade will finally be returning to the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World. This parade will begin performing daily at the theme park at some point in 2022.
Festival of Fantasy first began performing in 2014 and it ran until the closure of Walt Disney World due to the COVID19 pandemic. When the Magic Kingdom and the rest of Walt Disney World reopened, parades did not return due to social distancing concerns.
The parade now joins a variety of returning entertainment that has come to Walt Disney World in the latter half of 2021 and will be coming to the parks beginning in early 2022 alongside the reimagined Finding Nemo musical, Festival of The Lion King, and more.
This marks the first full-sized parade to come back to Walt Disney World following the pandemic outside of a special event, and it is the most sizable live entertainment to be offered in the Disney Parks since the pandemic.
