1. Pixar Play Parade
Disney World "stole" a float from the Disneyland Pixar Play Parade when it was being retired to add to the Toy Story segment of the Boo To You Parade.
2. Changing Floats
Many parades have been utilized in different ways over the years, featuring different character groups every couple of years.
3. Another Float Stolen
A float from the former Celebrate a Dream Come True parade was reutilized as the finale villains float in this Halloween parade.
4. Spark
One of the most iconic elements of the parade, the Haunted Mansion Grave Diggers sparks from their shovels was actually an accidental addition to the parade when a performer dragged their shovel and the choreographer noticed it created sparks. The dance for this segment was redesigned and has been one of the most famous parts of the parade ever since.
5. Opening
The parade opened in something resembling its current form in 2003, although it is updated with new floats and characters almost every year.
6. Headless Horsemen
Before the rest of the parade, the Headless Horseman rides through the Magic Kingdom on horseback.
7. Cast Members
There are roughly 175 people needed for each performance of the parade including performers, float drivers, costumers, decorators, and more types of cast members.
8. Bowler Hat Guy
The Bowler Hat Guy, the villain from Meet the Robinsons, appears in this parade. This the really only place in the world that he is seen in the parks.
9. Candy
The candy float has candy smellitizers, so the float smells like candy as it passes by.
10. Theme
While it may not be obvious, the entire parade is actually themed based on the Magic Kingdom, with sections based on the various lands of the park.
