It's a Small World: Disneyland Vs. Disney World

It's a Small World is one of the most iconic Disney attractions of all time, being found all around the world, and each version is slightly different.

But which version is the best one? Today we are comparing the two US versions of It's a Small World to determine which is the best version in the country.

We are going to be looking at the positive and negative aspects of both the Disneyland and Magic Kingdom versions of the attraction.

Magic Kingdom

This version shares many similarities with other versions, but also many differences from any other version on the planet.

For one, the clock parade building is entirely enclosed inside a larger queue building. This makes the design a lot less impressive than in other versions. It also does not help that the clock parade has been consistently broken for a while.

It does lack characters, making it the last version in the world without Disney characters.

It does benefit from the viewing location of the ride from Pinocchio Village Haus. There you can watch boats pass by as you eat, which is a fun unique aspect of this version of the attraction.

Disneyland

Disneyland is the original version of It's a Small World, moved from the 1964 World's Fair.

It has a very extensive outdoor queue with impressive whimsical topiaries of various animals.

The facade of the attraction is much more impressive than the Disney World version, with the Disneyland Railroad even passing through it.

The actual attraction features similar, but somewhat more elaborate show scenes. It also features dolls of Disney characters done in the artistic style of the ride hidden in different scenes.

Let us also mention the amazing seasonal overlay of the attraction that happens every year and the special show that occurs nightly on the facade of the attraction.

When all is said, there is no denying who is the clear winner.

Winner

It's a Small World Disneyland

Disneyland is the original but it still reigns as the superior version of the attraction. With its modern updates, classic charm, and shere scale amidst the intimate setting of Disneyland, it is undeniably the best version of the attraction in the US, if not the entire world.
