As Disney prepares to reopen there are a lot of rumors of how they are going to reopen.

For this Weekly Disney Rumor Update, we are going to run through a few of them and how they are going to change how you plan a Disney World trip.

End of Park Hopping

As more details of the reservation system that will be required to enter the Disney Parks, it is looking more and more like there will be no park hopping allowed when the parks reopen for the foreseeable future.

This reservation system it is believed will be in use until Walt Disney World's 50th anniversary in October 2021 based on currently available information.

We do not know how this will affect pre-purchased tickets and if partial refunds will be allowed.

Indefinite End of Character Meals

It is looking like character meals will not return for the foreseeable future as well.

A few significant character meals have already begun reopening with changes, including no characters and buffets replaced with family-style eating.

It will be interesting to see how this changes Disney World as several prominent character meals are not known for their great food or themeing, leaving them without much purpose without characters.

Epcot Food

One thing to pay attention to is how this is going to change Epcot's festivals. Traditionally Epcot serves a lot of small portions in booths without much seating. This is done to encourage eating while moving around the park, causing some people to eat on trash cans due to a lack of tables.

This exact practice is against most social distancing guidelines, and something will have to change. We will keep you up to date on what is happening.
