How Frozen On Broadway May Have Alluded to a Frozen 2 Twist

Frozen 2 has been out for a while now so I think it is safe to venture into spoiler-filled articles discussing its effects on other Frozen properties.

So I thought it would be good to discuss how Frozen 2 fits with the Broadway musical version of Frozen.

So one of the main revelations of Frozen 2 was that Elsa and Anna's mother was not native to Arendelle, instead, she was from the Northuldra people native to the Enchanted Forest, and more connected to magic than the people of Arendelle.

This may explain certain events of the Broadway musical, like how she is the one who is able to call the Hiddenfolk, the musical's counterpart to the original films Trolls.

As for the rest of the film, it doesn't have too many major implications on the Broadway musical. The Enchanted Forest does not even get referenced. It does appear some thought may have been given to Queen Iduna's backstory as far back as the creation of the Broadway musical version of the original Frozen.

Queen Iduna has more too her than we originally knew and her only other appearance appears to hint at her past without directly addressing it.

Did you notice any parallels between Frozen 2 and the Broadway musical version of the original Frozen? Let us know in the comments below we would love to discuss them in the future here at Theme Parks and Entertainment.
