T Rex Animatronic Dino Expedition Lake Compounce Amusement Park

Lake Compounce is a small regional park in Bristol Connecticut that is one of the oldest amusement parks in America. It is famous for its world-class roller coasters, but it has also started to update the park with more modern attractions in recent years.

One of these is the Dino Expedition, a walkthrough attraction featuring several large animatronic dinosaurs. It took the place of an underutilized theater at the park and gives a relatively immersive experience in the small section of land.

There is also a holiday overlay of this attraction where the dinos get covered in Christmas lights that are timed to music. It is a great twist on an inventive attraction.

Lake Compounce managed to turn a small area of land and a small budget into a fun attraction that adds something different to the park.
