Disney World's Lost Tinker Bell Ride: Never Built Magic Kingdom

Never Built Magic Kingdom

Tinker Belle Float Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party Parade

Tinker Bell has always been one of the most iconic Disney characters even being the mascot of Disneyland early on, but she has never had an attraction of her own (yet). But in the late 2000s-early 2010s there was a plan for her to get her very own attraction at the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World.

This was planned and announced as part of an alternative version of the New Fantasyland expansion and would have been located on the location currently occupied by the circus tent shops and meet and greet plaza. It would have been a part of a mini-land sub-section of Fantasyland based on the Tinker Belle film franchise.

This would have been an incredibly themed area giving the character a permanent meet and greet location, and her own ride.

While never officially announced, rumors and the model for this land suggest that this ride would have been a clone of the Mater's Junkyard Jamboree/ Alien Swirling Saucers ride system. This would have been one of two rides added in this version of New Fantasyland, alongside The Little Mermaid dark ride that was actually built, and was far more elaborate.

This ride would be canceled when the budget for the project shifted elsewhere, especially with the addition of Seven Dwarfs Mine Train to the land.

The ride system planned for the Tinker Bell ride would eventually come to Walt Disney World, instead themed based on Toy Story with Alien Swirling Saucers, but this area of the park would not see a ride, and New Fantasyland would not include an entirely new flat ride in the redesigned plans.
