David Byrne's American Utopia took Broadway by storm during its initial run, so much so that it is set to return to Broadway in a new production when Broadway is able to reopen following the COVID19 pandemic.

American Utopia was a great hybrid between a traditional Broadway production, incorporating a collection of preexisting songs woven into an immersive production filled with amazing performances by an ensemble led by David Byrne.
This show had a clear message, with segments ranging from politics to cultural issues all worked perfectly into the musical numbers and monologues delivered by David Byrne between the music numbers.
It was so popular it even received a pro shot that is currently available to watch on Amazon Prime.
American Utopia gave New York City a new kind of Broadway production that will be a welcome sight when it is able to return in the near future, entertaining and informing a new set of audience members each night.
