Welcome to a new series here at TPE. Here we discuss easter eggs in the Disney Parks, and what better way to start than going into the newest immersive land, Galaxy's Edge in Disney's Hollywood Studios.
Great Movie Ride was the signature attraction of Disney's Hollywood Studios for much of its history before it closed in 2017. But now that it has closed we are starting to see props from the attraction show up elsewhere in the Disney Parks, with some people guessing animatronics in Rise of the Resistance had a past life in the former attraction.
But there is one reference in the middle of Galaxy's Edge that is so subtle you may miss it if you aren't looking for it.
The large foot in the center of the town section of Galaxy's Edge had a past life as part of the Indiana Jones section of the Great Movie Ride, as part of an Anubis statue. This is a great tribute to an attraction that was such a big part of the history of the park.
