Ranking All the US Disney Parks 2020

The US Disney Parks are some of the most visited theme parks in the world, with world-class attractions both classic like the Haunted Mansion, and new like Star Wars Rise of the Resistance.

But not all parks are created equal.

Here we rank all the US Disney Parks, meaning the Disney theme parks located at Walt Disney World and the Disneyland Resort as they were in January 2020.

The list will be from worst to best and not take into account the water parks.

6. Disney's Hollywood Studios

Red Starship Star Wars Galaxy's Edge Disney's Hollywood Studios

This should be a testament to how much work is still needed in this park. It has the best land and best attraction but is still sorely lacking. It has extremely few attractions, and the waits for the ones that are there are far to long for the quality of the attraction. The park also handles crowds the worst of any Disney theme park at the moment making this the worst Disney Park in the US.

5. Epcot

Epcot Forever Logo Disney World

It kills me to put Epcot this low, but there really is no denying that it deserves to be this low. Half of Future World is closed, there is construction everywhere and the park is between two themes. It is stuck between its historic self and its future self and that makes for a weird experience. Combine that with a subpar fireworks show and only a handful of world-class attractions and you get current Epcot. A relic of its former self desperately trying to hang on during its year of construction. It will surely rise again with the opening of attractions like Remy's Ratatouille Adventure, but those are still in the future.

4. Disney California Adventure

Radiator Springs Racers Final Race Disney California Adventure

Another park in transition. This park has some of the best-themed lands and attractions Disney has ever made. But for every Cars Land that outshines the competition, there is a Pixar Pier that just didn't live up to the hype. Avengers Campus will surely fix some of this, but even after that, there will still be several underutilized lands left in the park and no remaining expansion pads.

3. Magic Kingdom

The most popular theme park in the world places third on our list. Why? It is in desperate need of expansion! The last major addition to this park was 8 YEARS AGO. New Fantasyland isn't that new anymore. But while the park hasn't increased in size, the crowds have. Tron is great, but this park needs more than that. It ranks so highly because of its great theming and the best variety of attractions in Walt Disney World.

2. Disney's Animal Kingdom

Tree of Life Disney's Animal Kingdom

This park is the best themed in all of Walt Disney World and it isn't a close battle. What it lacks in attractions it more than makes up for in immersive and shows, having the two best shows anywhere in Walt Disney World with Finding Nemo the Musical and Festival of the Lion King. While it may not have many attractions, those it does are some of the best, with Kilimanjaro Safari, Flight of Passage, and Expedition Everest just being a few standouts. This former half-day park has grown to be the second-best in America.

1. Disneyland

Submarine Lagoon Tomorrowland with Matterhorn Disneyland

The original Disneyland ranks as the best Disney theme park in the US this year. With the addition of Galaxy's Edge, this should be the undisputed champion. Hosting a massive 40+ attractions on top of shows, entertainment, shops, and restaurants this park has found a way to cram more into its small footprint than many of Disney's bigger parks. It is also only going to get bigger, with another E-Ticket on the way in Toontown. Disneyland is king and shows no signs of slowing down.
