The Carousel of Progress has had a long life and been in multiple locations around the world during its life. For the last 45 years of its life, it's been located in the heart of Walt Disney World's Tomorrowland.
Even during that time, it has had a few changes, different actors, even a different song, but it always has revolved around the same theme, progress.
With rumors of an upcoming update that will change the Carousel of Progress again for decades to come we should remember all of the things that make this attraction great.
This attraction is one of the few at Disney World that Walt himself actually rode, as it was moved from Disneyland. While he never saw this version of the show, it is a part of the park more connected to him than the rest of it.
The Carousel of Progress has also had endurance, surviving being put into seasonal operation after 9/11 and returning to welcoming guests year-round.
