Disney is always changing and expanding with many new offerings to enjoy each year. Here's our top 10 reasons for visiting Walt Disney World in 2020.
Galaxy's Edge
Galaxy's Edge may have opened last year but it is still relatively new, and with Rise of the Resistance has been open for less than a month there is still more to discover.
These two rides are some of the best in the world and are well worth making a special trip to visit in 2020.
Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway
In 2020 the first-ever ride-through attraction based on Mickey Mouse is set to open in Disney's Hollywood Studios. While we still don't know much about this ride it has the potential to become the new signature attraction of the park.
It is set to open March 4th, so plan your trips accordingly.
Epcot Forever
Epcot Forever is a temporary fireworks show set to end at some time in 2020. If you are a fan of classic Epcot Center attractions and music than this is the show for you. Be aware we do not have an end date at this point so it could end before your trip.
Return of Primeval Whirl
After a surprising closure earlier this year, Primeval Whirl is back and as strong as ever. This may not be the best ride in Disney's Animal Kingdom, but it is nice to see it back open. Be sure to take a ride on the park's second-best roller coaster!
Remy's Ratatouille Adventure
This ride is making its way across the Atlantic Ocean from Disneyland Paris this year and is being added to Epcot's France Pavilion. This ride is a ton of fun and will be a great addition to the park, being an entirely new addition, not replacing any previous attraction.
There is currently no opening date for this attraction beyond 2020.
HarmonioUS
After Epcot Forever ends its limited-time run at the park it will be replaced by a new permanent show, HarmounioUS. This all-new show will feature updated technology, projections, and Disney Music.
Return of Walt Disney World Railroad
The Walt Disney World Railroad has now been closed for an extended period of time to facilitate the construction of Tron Lightcycle Run. That is currently scheduled to end by the conclusion of 2020 and will bring this classic attraction back to the Magic Kingdom. This won't be until towards the end of the year, so plan your trip accordingly.
Mickey's Shorts Theater
Along with other additions, we are getting a special theater in Disney's Hollywood Studios dedicated to the latest Mickey Mouse shorts. A minor addition but it will be a lot of fun, and Disney's Hollywood Studios needs the extra attraction.
New Resturants
A variety of new restaurants are set to open in 2020 throughout Walt Disney World. Most notably we get new restaurants like Space 220, Regal Eagle, and Roundup Rodeo opening to fulfill all your foodie needs on top of numerous new offerings in Disney Springs.
Drawn To Life
Disney is premiering an all-new Cirque Du Soleil show in Disney Springs inspired by Disney stories. This is a premium offering but will surely be a worthy addition to the growing entertainment offerings in Disney Springs.
