Walt Disney World is home to dozens of rides, shows, and attractions, and is a place where you can enjoy experiences based on a seemingly endless number of Disney films. Alongside these, the parks are filled with characters from many of these films. But as Disney constantly puts out new films, with their own popular characters, some characters disappear from Walt Disney World, seemingly forever.

So here are five characters that used to be found at Walt Disney World that are no longer a part of the four theme parks as of 2022 outside of a special event.

1. Tarzan

Tarzan is an iconic character who is the star of his own Disney animated film of the same name. He used to be a regular feature in the parks following the release of his film, often appearing in Disney's Animal Kingdom or Adventureland, even alongside other characters from his movie like Terk or Jane. But as the years went on he started to meet guests less and less, eventually only being a rare character in Halloween events or RunDisney events. Now you have to be lucky to even find him at one of those special events.

2. Figment

Figment is the dragon that for most of Epcot's history has been the star of the Journey Into Imagination attraction, where he still entertains guests to this day. But for many years he also meet with guests as a character in and around the Imagination Pavilion, either alongside his original partner Dreamfinder, or on his own in the mid 2000s. But after his own meet and greet spot, Figment's Place, was removed, he disappeared from Epcot and has not been seen as a character outside his ride since.

3. Phineas and Ferb

During the original run of their TV show, Phineas and Ferb became regular characters to meet in Walt Disney World, rarely even joined by their pet, Perry The Platypus. They got their own meet and greet in Disney's Hollywood Studios themed as their backyard and would greet their fans together as a pair. Eventually their meet and greet would be removed and its entire section of the park would disappear to make way for Star Wars Galaxy's Edge. For a while they also appeared infrequently for special occasions, but now they cannot be found anywhere at anytime at Walt Disney World.

4. Kenai and Koda

Kenai and Koda are the main two characters in the under appreciated Disney film, and both of them used to be regular characters that you could find in Walt Disney World. In the years after their film was released, Kenai and Koda had their own Brother Bear themed meet and greet in Disney's Animal Kingdom in the Camp Minnie Mickey section of the park, and could also be seen commonly throughout the park in other locations after this was moved. Eventually though they would stop appearing in the park, being replaced by other more recent Disney characters, and they now haven't been seen anywhere in Walt Disney World in years.

5. Brer Fox, Brer Rabbit, and Brer Bear

Since the opening of Splash Mountain, Brer Fox, Brer Rabbit, and Brer Bear were moderately popular Disney characters. They never really had a set, long term meet and greet location, but they did somewhat frequently greet guests in various locations in Walt Disney World, as well as being a part of animal themed segments of many different Disney parades. But in the wake of Disney's decision to replace Splash Mountain with a Princess and the Frog themed ride, these characters immediately stopped appearing in the US Disney Parks, and it is unlikely they will ever be seen again, in any capacity at Walt Disney World.
