A New Launched Roller Coaster Is Coming To Shanghai Disneyland

Disney Adventurer

According to public documents and rumors, here is an upcoming outdoor multi-launch roller coaster being developed for Shanghai Disneyland.

Everything that is about to be mentioned, unless otherwise mentioned is based on planning documents and publicly available information regarding this roller coaster in China. As these documents exist, this coaster is somewhat far into development, although no official acknowledgment or announcement has been made on this project.

This is normally one of the first indicators for any Disney project, stateside or international.

So a basic rundown on everything known about this roller coaster:

The project is going to be an outdoor roller coaster.

It is going to feature at least two launches, and it will be highly themed.

This ride will be built by Vekoma, who for those unfamiliar with roller coaster manufacturers, is the manufacturer behind such Disney roller coasters as Gadget's Go Coaster, Expedition Everest, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Rock N Roller Coaster, Tron Lightcycle Run, and others, on top of countless roller coasters beyond the Disney Parks.

Now, a rundown on what is not known about this roller coaster in any kind of official capacity. A theme for this ride is not known. An exact layout for the ride is unknown. The location of where this will be built in the park is unknown.

Rumors state this will end up being a Spiderman-themed roller coaster, although these rumors have no clear origin or credibility. They are worth mentioning merely as they are the only major indicator on what a theme for this ride potentially could be.

This project is still in its early stages, so more information will eventually be revealed assumably as time goes on.
