The Nature Pavilion: Disneyland's Never Built Westcot

Disneyland's Never Built Westcot

Westcot at the Disneyland Resort was supposed to incorperate all of the best parts of Epcot Center into a park that took up significantly less space. This meant that elements of the park had to be scaled down, and some pavilions had to be combined in order to fit in the smaller land that the park was going to be built in.

One of the ways this would have been manifested in Westcot was in how it approached Future World, with it requiring the various pavilions focused on the natural world to be combined into one larger pavilion.

This pavilion reportedly would have been primarily based on the Land Pavilion from Epcot, but it would also have incorperated some elements of The Living Seas Pavilion (now known as The Seas With Nemo and Friends), making a pavilion focused on the entire planet, not just land.

The main attraction as a part of this pavilion was to be a version of Living With The Land (then called Listen to the Land), the agriculture themed ride located at the original Epcot.

Not much is known about this pavilion beyond these small details. Most of the publiclly released information on Westcot has been focused on World Showcase, leaving the details of Future World a mystery to the general public.
