Atlantis is a cult fan-favorite Disney film for many people with a lot of fun adventurous characters and moments. This could make a great addition to Disney Magic Kingdoms so we are speculating which characters could be added to the game in a potential future update.
Given the theme of the game, I think this would make a perfect future permanent content update when the game starts unlocking more of Adventureland, especially the water areas of the map. For the rest of this, we are assuming that the Atlantis update would be a smaller to medium-sized permanent content update.
I can see potentially as few as two characters being added to the game as a part of an Atlantis update, really because there are two characters in this movie who are much more iconic than the rest of the film's ensemble.
The two main characters, Milo James Thatch and Kida. They are the main romantic pair of the film and are the largest characters from the surface and Atlantis respectively. If the update was really small they could really just include these two.
Beyond them, it is difficult to choose amongst a lot of characters who could be great additions to the game. The entire surviving team from the submarine could be a great addition to the game. Commander Rourke would likely be the most likely as the main villain of the movie, but given his fate, it could keep him from the game. The entire team is too large to all be added, but several members of varying allegiances would make for a great update on top of the core of Milo and Kida.
Atlantis is a cult fan favorite film from the Disney canon that would be an amazing addition to Disney Magic Kingdoms.
