Should Immersive Theme Park Lands Decorate for Christmas?

So the Disney Parks are fully in the Christmas spirit, but there are a few places that aren't getting decked out for the holidays. Those being the immersive lands in the parks like Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge.

Immersive lands are a relatively new thing in theme parks, kicking off with the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and spreading to Disney with lands like Cars Land, Pandora, and more.

But a big question with these lands had been what do you do around the holidays when the rest of the park gets in the holiday spirit.

Some lands don't have much of an issue with this. Christmas already exists in the universe of Harry Potter and Cars, and they have celebrated it for years now. Cars Land even has holiday overlays of some of their rides.

But as Galaxy's Edge enters the holiday season it remains remarkably unchanged. Star Wars even has an equivalent to Christmas, Wookie Life Day. Granted it is from a pretty universally hated part of Star Wars history but Disney has been acknowledging it to some extent in recent years, but there are no references in the park.

So the question remains, should immersive lands acknowledge the holidays? Is it better for them to fit in with the festivities in the rest of the park, or go all-in on immersion and ignore them all together for the sake of thematic integrity?

This will likely be an ongoing question as more immersive theme park lands are built. Not all themes are easily translated to traditional holiday celebrations, which can either create amazing and unique experiences, or leave them out of the celebrations.
