For a short period, the company that owns and operates Hersheypark also owned and operated Lake Compounce, the oldest continuously operating amusement park in the US.

3. Ride Rating System

To make the height requirements of rides throughout the park easier to understand, Hersheypark uses a system to rank rides based on different candy brands, with each candy representing a different height requirement.
