Hersheypark is one of the most iconic amusement parks in the world. Themed based on the iconic Hershey Chocolate Company, this amusement park is full of sweet-themed fun, and thrilling rides for guests young and old.

1. Zoo
Attached to Hersheypark is ZooAmerica, a zoo included in your admission ticket to Hersheypark that features various animals from throughout the American continent.
2. Lake Compounce
For a short period, the company that owns and operates Hersheypark also owned and operated Lake Compounce, the oldest continuously operating amusement park in the US.

The park currently features several themed areas, including the newest area, Chocolatetown, as well as several other areas like Midway America and Kissing Tower Hill.

A water park can also be found within the borders of the park known as the Boardwalk.

The origin of this park was as a place for employees of the Hershey Chocolate Company to rest and enjoy themselves, having even been founded by Milton Hershey himself.
10. History
Hersheypark is over 100 years old, having originally opened in 1906, although during that time it has been known by various names and operated under very different circumstances.
