The Pixar Play Parade is a classic parade from the Disneyland Resort featuring various Pixar characters from films ranging the entire Pixar library.
This parade during its history played at both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure, but was performed most often at Disney California Adventure, the second park of the Disneyland Resort.
During its run, this parade did see occasional new parade floats based on newer Pixar films.
Even in the last year of the parade's operation, it received several new parade floats, including ones based on Up and Inside Out.
This parade perfectly fit in both parks of the Disneyland Resort and gave many characters their only major appearance in Disneyland.
This parade saw its final run in Disneyland in 2018 during the Pixar Fest celebration that happened in both parks.
This parade ran in Disneyland with brand new floats for its farewell run as well as most of the elements that had been used in Disney California Adventure over the years.
It even featured the first major appearance of a new Pixar character, Kevin from Up, who began making regular appearances at Disney's Animal Kingdom shortly after Pixar Fest after premiering as a part of this parade.
This parade featured a lot of imaginative floats that brought tons of films to life in creative ways. It got a lengthy run at the resort before being retired forever as both daytime Disneyland parades were replaced with the unfortunatly short lived Magic Happens parade, which will hopefully return after the COVID19 pandemic.
This parade got the long run that it deserved, and some of its floats still survive to this day, giving life to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party each year.
