Today is a significant anniversary for two different Winnie the Pooh movies made by Disney, and we will be celebrating them both here at TPE.
This movie, originally planned for a direct to video release ended up becoming, at the time of its release, the highest-grossing Winnie the Pooh film made by Disney, a title it would continue to hold until 2018.
It also was the first film where voice actor Jim Cummings voiced Tigger, following the retirement of his original voice actor.
It was also the first film with songs by the famous Sherman Brothers released by Disney in almost 30 years, which was the main reason it ended up being released in theaters instead of being a home release.
Be sure to have a Tiggerefic day to celebrate the release of this film.
