Islands of Adventure
We now have an official opening date and name for the Harry Potter coaster coming to Islands of Adventure in Universal Orlando Resort.
Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure as it will be called will open at the park on June 13th, 2019.
This will be the first new Wizarding World attraction since Escape from Gringotts and the Hogwarts Express.
This was such a significant announcement it forced Disney to make two announcements to try and outshine it.
This looks to be a more family-friendly coaster than Dragon Challenge (formerly Dueling Dragons) that it replaced while still providing some thrills.
This will be both the second coaster in the land and the second ride themed after Hagrid. Flight of the Hippogriff was both the first coaster in the land and the first ride based on the popular side character from the series.
This ride will probably be the big hit of summer 2019 in Orlando considering Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge will not open until late fall.
