Star-Lord and Groot were recently removed from Disney World but are they gone from all the US Disney parks?
The short answer...yes Star-Lord is gone but adult Groot is still at California Adventure.
The long answer is you can still get a photo with Star-Lord at California Adventure if you can catch him while he leaves the Awesome Mix show. Often he will stop for a quick selfie, but he does not sign and will not have a formal meet and greet. Sometimes Gamora will do the same.
Adult Groot also has organized meet and greets in front of Guardians of the Galaxy Mission: Breakout and this is still quite popular and unlikely to be removed anytime soon.
If you want to meet any of the Guardians of the Galaxy, Disneyland Resort or more specifically California Adventure is your place to visit.
