Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe
Mary Poppins was one of Walt Disney's main achievements. It was his only film to be nominated for Best Picture while he was alive. It remains on many lists of the best films of all time. Yet it remains with very little representing it in the Disney parks worldwide.
All Disneyland has is the Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe.
The cafe does not feature many Mary Poppins inspired dishes, but the decor is entirely inspired by the original movie. The windows even feature the original penguins that danced along with Bert in its namesake song.
The bakery does feature macaroons and other baked goods along with many promotional seasonal offerings.
This also makes for a good place to take a mid-day rest. It has a lot of tables in an area where many of the benches have been removed. It is also shaded making this a prime spot to hang out and take a rest when the crowds increase in the middle of the day.
Also, as this is a Mary Poppins restaurant, Mary and Bert often appear in their Jolly Holiday outfits for meet and greets near the restaurant.
Now I ask of you the real question, why is there a Mary Poppins restaurant on Main Street USA?
