For this Disney Photo of the Week, we here at Theme Parks and Entertainment are celebrating the 70th anniversary of a classic package Disney animated film, The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad.
This film was made of two short films packaged together, the story of Ichabod and the Headless Horseman, as well as the story of Mr. Toad and his motor mania.
Not much from these shorts have made it into the Disney Parks. The most significant reference is probably Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, an opening day dark ride in Fantasyland at Disneyland and former ride at the Magic Kingdom.
This ride still takes you from Toad Hall to Hell and back at Disneyland, perfectly bringing you on your own way merrily to nowhere in particular.
