Update: In an earlier version of this article we mistakenly identified a logo as belonging to the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy Roller Coaster. The Universe of Energy like logo actually belongs to the Play Pavilion. We apologize for any confusion.
The first major rumor for D23 was confirmed with a Moana themed water-based attraction coming to Epcot. This is the first attraction based on Moana in any Disney Park.
We don't know much, but we do know this is the first major new attraction to be announced at D23 2019.
All of this was found out at the Epcot model room in the D23 Expo, which also revealed some new logos in the style of the original Epcot logos, as well as the return of the old Seas, Imagination, and Transportation logos. There appears to be a stylized version of the O from Moana included in this display that will likely be for this attraction.
More announcements are to be expected as the weekend continues.
