Guide to Entering Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party

Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party Crowd Control Cast Member

Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is separately ticketed event held select nights throughout August, September, October, and now November at the Magic Kingdom. To enter the party you need a separate ticket. You do not need a full-day ticket to access the party, but if you are only using a party ticket you cannot enter the park until 4pm. This is also when you are allowed into the park with costumes, although if your costume is not elaborate you can sometimes get in early with the costume.

If you are going to be in the park before 4pm you will need to pick up a Halloween Party band starting at 4pm by showing your ticket at a distribution location inside the park. This year, these distribution locations are at locations in Adventureland (Pirates), Fantasyland (Philharmagic), and Tomorrowland (Buzz). I would recommend getting to the party as early as possible to get the most out of your experience.

So what should you do once you get into the party?

Sorcerers Needed Magic Kingdom Poster Disney World

First, you should head over to Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom and pick up your free party exclusive card, and maybe a set of regular cards as well. This is at the front of the park, so it is easiest to just pick it up as you enter rather than having to seek it out later in the night.

The park closes to normal guests at 6pm, and at about that time select attractions not open during the party close down. These include The Country Bear Jamboree, The Enchanted Tiki Room, The Carousel of Progress, Jungle Cruise, and Tom Sawyer Island. If you want to experience these attractions, be sure to do it before the start of the party. This is also the time to do the classic versions of rides with overlays during the party like the Mad Tea Party and Space Mountain.

Most party events do not start until 7pm, the official start of the party. Most.

The Jack and Sally meet and greet in the Times Square theater opens almost right at four and can quickly get up to three hours long. This line never goes down during the party, except slightly during the fireworks. Keep that in mind if they are a priority for you.

There is a treat trail open parallel to Main Street USA starting at 4pm. Make sure you go through it as its where you pick up your party candy bag, and it gives you your first chance at party exclusive merchandise (and candy!).

There are a few other things that open before the official start of the part. Now be aware, all of these require showing your Halloween party bracelet, so you need to have picked it up before getting in line. Also, none of these are guaranteed to start before 7pm, but they usually do.

The Seven Dwarfs meet and greet starts slightly later than Jack and Sally, but usually before 6pm.

Pooh and Friends at Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party 2019

Other meet and greets like Elvis Stitch and Pooh and Friends in their Halloween outfits show up within the hour before the party.

These are all great options for how to spend your time before the party officially starts.
