11. The Great Chase

The Great Chase Six Flags New England

There are two different kiddie coasters at Six Flags New England, and of the two, this is the worst one. It is relatively forceless and has grown increasingly rough over the years. On top of this, the theming in this area has not been maintained in recent years. It really could use some work, and in its prime condition it is better themed, but at the moment this does not help the experience at all.

10. Catwoman's Whip

This is the better of the two kiddie roller coasters at the park. It has some more intense hills and turns that make this roller coaster experience better overall than the other Six Flags New England kiddie coaster, while still being approachable for small children.

The roller coaster also features more comfortable trains that make the ride a much more enjoyable experience beyond the layout itself. It also has a position that gives it great views of the surrounding roller coasters, including Superman The Ride, the park's signature roller coaster. If you are looking for a kiddie coaster at Six Flags New England this is the better choice.

9. Gotham City Gauntlet

Gotham City Gauntlet features a wild mouse-style roller coaster layout that is found at various amusement parks around the country, and it features some fun theming that puts it above many other similar versions. The forces on this ride aren't the strongest but it's a solid mid-tier coaster.

The ride also features some mist elements that can be refreshing on a hot day at the park as you pass through them.

8. Flashback

This is a normal boomerang roller coaster found at dozens of other amusement parks. It features three inversions which the ride travels through both forward and backward. However, this ride is aging and is growing rougher with each passing year, having operated at other amusement parks before being relocated to Six Flags New England.

7. Thunderbolt

Thunderbolt is the only traditional wooden roller coaster at Six Flags New England, and it is also the oldest still operating roller coaster at Six Flags New England. With only one train this is a slow-loading ride, but a quality one when you actually get on board the attraction.

This is a classic-style roller coaster that is tamer than many of the other coasters in the park, having been built a significant time ago with far less advanced technology than is available today. However, it still provides a solid wooden coaster experience with its classic style layout with some fun forces that harken back to older roller coasters.

6. Pandemonium

The parks spinning coaster is a really fun ride, and depending on the weight distribution in your train it can be an incredibly intense experience. With a compact layout that manages to fit in plenty of drops and turns designed to maximize your speed while spinning, this ride does everything that a spinning coaster should do.

5. The Joker

The Joker Freespin Roller Coaster Six Flags New England

This ride is a cloned S&S 4th dimension coaster that spins freely as it goes through much of the layout, and it is the newest roller coaster at Six Flags New England.

This roller coaster can be a great experience, but because of the free-spinning nature of the ride, every time you go on the ride you can experience something different. This adds to the cham and re-rideability of the attraction by making it something that can feel different each time.

It is a fun ride, and if you haven't experienced one of the same attractions at another park then you should check it out on your visit to Six Flags New England.

4. The Riddler Revenge

The Riddler Revenge Suspended Looping Coaster Six Flags New England At Night

The fact that a suspended looping coaster is this high on the list should be a tribute to how much this ride has improved over the years. When it was known as Mind Eraser this ride was just as painful as every other SLC. But the refurbishment that transformed it into The Riddler Revenge made it into an actual quality attraction.

The new trains the ride received was an amazing investment that turned this ride into a much better attraction, removing a lot of the shakiness and painful headbanging that gave this ride the original name, Mind Eraser. Its by no means the best ride in the park, but it is far improved from what it once was.

3. Batman: The Dark Knight

The ride's floorless roller coaster is also one of its best attractions, and the only B&M coaster currently operating in the park. It is extremely smooth and perfectly placed with great views of the river that borders the park.

With five inversions, it has the most inversions of a traditional full circuit roller coaster at the park. With great pacing and tons of great forces, this ride is a wonderful mid-tier coaster that helps round out the top of the Six Flags New England lineup.

2. Wicked Cyclone

Wicked Cyclone RMC Hybrid Roller Coaster Six Flags New England

Wicked Cyclone is the RMC hybrid roller coaster found at Six Flags New England. It is easily one of the two best roller coasters in the park. With an over one hundred-foot-tall first drop, and three inversions, this ride packs an incredibly thrilling punch that starts with incredible intensity in its speed as it passes through various elements on the layout.

The ride also packs in a tremendous amount of airtime, with every hill and turn designed to maximize the amount of airtime you feel on the coaster, made more intense with the wonderfully light lap bar restraints. It is also long for an RMC, making the experience last longer and giving the chance to experience more elements on a single ride.

The only thing that keeps this ride from the top spot is it does get a little slow on the final run through its layout. This hurts the pacing a bit, but still makes for an amazing attraction that could easily be the best ride at another park, if it weren't for the top ride at Six Flags New England.

1. Superman The Ride

Superman The Ride Roller Coaster Six Flags New England

Superman Ride of Steel, Bizzaro, or the current name Superman The Ride, this roller coaster has always been the best ride in the park. Featuring a 221-foot drop, and reaching speeds over 75 miles per hour, this Intamin Mega Coaster provides an amazing ride experience.

The first drop is by far the most intense part of the attraction, diving underneath the ground into a mist tunnel before climbing another hill. The ride then turns before going over another hill and entering an above-ground scenic mist tunnel filled with Superman logos.

The latter half of the ride is then filled with a series of helixes as well as smaller hills and a dip into another below-ground mist tunnel.

The ride is filled with intense moments of airtime and strong forces that make it an experience unlike anything else not only in the park, but in the entire surrounding region. This is all highlighted by an ever-changing roster of themed effects and onboard audio through the lift hill that makes for a better overall experience.
