Boulder Dash is the most famous roller coaster currently located at Lake Compounce amusement park in Bristol Connecticut. 1. Awards
This roller coaster has won the Golden Ticket Award for Best Wooden Roller Coaster 5 different times, and with the exception of its opening year, it has never ranked lower than fifth in the overall wooden roller coaster rankings.
2. Redone Layout
The ride as it exists today does not feature the entire original layout as it existed when Boulder Dash first opened at the park, with the final element having been replaced since the ride originally opened.
3. Gilmore Girls
This coaster is given a call out in the final episode of the original run of the television show Gilmore Girls, which take place within a fictional Connecticut town, Stars Hollow.
4. CCI
This roller coaster was built by the now-defunct Custom Coasters International company behind such other famous roller coasters as Shivering Timbers at Michigan's Adventure, GhostRider at Knott's Berry Farm, and The Raven at Holiday World.
5. Trains
This coaster features trains from the Philadelphia Tobbagan Company. Currently the park has both a blue train and a green train
