Where Could Disney Build a Turning Red Ride?

Disney Adventurer

Turning Red is Pixar's newest film and it has just been released on Disney Plus, and it is a charming coming-of-age film set in Canada. So if Disney decides to build a ride based on this new film where could it be located?

Since this film is set in Canada, the most obvious location at first glance within the Disney Parks for a potential Turning Red attraction would be in the Canada Pavilion within Epcot at the Walt Disney World Resort.

But this may not be the best fit. Turning Red may take place in Canada, but as it exists today, the Canada Pavilion is primarily based on Rural and historic Canada, not the urban Canada that is depicted within the film. This would make it difficult for the ride to fit in with the pavilion. With other films that have been added to the World Showcase, including Frozen and Ratatouille, the design of the film fit at least somewhat with the already existing land. This would not be the case at all with Turning Red.

However, this certainly might not stop Disney, especially if it was a smaller Turning Red-themed addition, such as a character meet and greet or a smaller stage show rather than a full-scale ride.

There is also already a relatively new attraction in the Canada Pavilion, that being the new Circlevision show Canada Far and Wide. Only the France Pavilion in Epcot has two major attractions, so it would be unlikely that Canada would get an additional attraction.

Beyond Epcot, the most likely position for this film would likely be in the Hollywood-themed sections of Disney's Hollywood Studios or Disney California Adventure. These areas can fit attractions based on practically anything, so they would be a natural fit for Turning Red.

Pixar Pier could also fit something small based on Turning Red, although it does not have much expansion space remaining.

Turning Red is a difficult film to find a place for in the Disney Parks, but if it ends up being popular enough their are certainly places that it could be added as a permanent part of Disneyland or Walt Disney World.
