Six Flags New England has historically added a new ride every single year for much of the past two decades. Last year the park received Supergirl Star Flyer, a ride originally planned for the 2020 season that did not open due to the theme park not being allowed to operate.
The park also lost a major ride in 2021, with the park keeping Goliath standing but not operating through the entire season, then demolishing it during the off-season.
So are they going to be getting a new ride in 2022?
Six Flags New England is not going to be receiving a new ride or attraction during the 2022 season as of current information.
Six Flags as a chain has ended their practice of always adding a new ride to every single park each year as part of a larger restructuring of how the company works in the aftermath of the pandemic. Instead, they are focusing more on the guest experience for this year, with smaller improvements planned for food and beverage as well as other areas across the chain. The chain plans to focus on fewer major rides for the near future, rather than building many smaller additions.
