IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth

IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth

Disney night shows come in many different forms. A fireworks show like Happily Ever After. A fountain show like World of Color. A projection show like Tree of Life Awakenings. Then there's Illuminations: Reflections of Earth.

This show combined fountains, fire, lasers and more in a show that has lasted longer than any other fireworks show at any Disney resort worldwide except Fantasmic, which considering this show was created to celebrate the year 2000 is really impressive.

The show tells the story of the earth, from its fiery creation to the human race and the meaning behind all of history. Then the finale is so explosive you can hear the explosion from miles away from the park.

IllumiNations Fireworks

IllimiNations: Reflections of Earth will have run for almost twenty years when it closes in October of 2019 and the show continues to fill the entire boundary of the World Showcase Lagoon every night even in its last year.

This will also be the last of the IllumiNations series of night shows that had been the foundation of a night at Epcot since its opening.

When it closes it will be replaced by Epcot Forever, a show celebrating the history of the park and the music that made up its former attractions. This show will be temporary and will be replaced by a show celebrating Disney music. Don't ask me how that fits into Epcot, I wish I knew.

Be sure to see this amazing classic Disney World show if you can in its final months before it goes away forever.
