World of Color has been a hit at California Adventure ever since it opened, and because of this, it has not seen many changes over the years besides special holiday shows. A special scene for a new movie maybe, and seasonal versions for special holidays but nothing more major than that...
Except once.
For the 60th anniversary, Diamond Celebration World of Color received an entirely new show, World of Color Celebrate. It was different from the original in many ways. It had two narrators, Neil Patrick Harris, and Mickey Mouse. It had a story, tracing the history of the Disney company and Disneyland itself. It used more projection surfaces.
And most importantly, you got SOAKED! I don't know what it was about this show but it was almost impossible to stay dry during it. I never had much problem with the normal World of Color except with high winds but every time I saw this I was dripping by the end.

This show featured many different segments including more recent movies than the original World of Color, like Frozen, and scenes featuring classic Disneyland attractions, all narrated with a cohesive storyline.
This show was a fun temporary update that adequately helped celebrate a significant moment in the park's history.
