Disney Parks Character Tribute
Captain America is one of the most iconic Marvel superheroes, and he became one of the first Marvel characters to become a long-term part of the Disney Parks. Steve Rogers was the first person to take up the mantel of Captain America, and he was the first version of the character to appear in the US Disney Parks.
One of the first major Marvel additions to the parks was a Marvel meet and greet in Hollywood Land in Disney California Adventure, and Captain America was one of the first characters to appear as a part of this.
Captain America appeared in his iconic costume alongside his signature shield, ready to meet his many fans. During his time in Hollywood Land, he either would appear alongside Spiderman or on his own in a special patriotic meet and greet.
Captain America would continue meeting guests in Hollywood Land until the opening of Avengers Campus, when he would become a regular part of that land, and will likely remain a constant part of that land for the forseable future. But his first appearance set the stage for so many other Marvel characters to appear in the Disney Parks in the future.
