Tomorrowland: Disneyland Guide

Tomorrowland Sign Disneyland night

Tomorrowland is one of the most constantly updated lands in any Disney park. It constantly has to keep up with the present, so rides are in constant rotation. Disneyland is no exception. The one thing that makes this Tomorrowland different than others around the world, there is no theme tying together the rides.

Star Tours: The Adventures Continue

Star Tours Entrance Disneyland

This is a 21st-century take on the first Star Wars ride. It is the same as in any other Disney park worldwide and features the same randomized scenes. This is a good placeholder until Star Wars Land opens up in the future.

Astro Orbiter

Astro Orbitor Disneyland Tomorrowland

This is the same type of spinner as the classic Dumbo but with a less comfortable ride vehicle. It does give a great view of the center of the park, however, which can provide great above ground pictures of the park.

Buzz Lightyear's Astro Blasters

This is the same shooter as in other Tomorrowlands. If you have only been on the Disney World version, this one is better. It has a more complex scoring system than in other parks and gives you more mobility with your blaster, making for an overall better experience.

Space Mountain

Night Space Mountain facade

This is the classic Disney Tomorrowland ride, with each version holding its own flare. This version features an all-new interior queue which really holds a classic Tomorrowland feel. It also features several seasonal overlays that make it special. At Halloween, it becomes Ghost Galaxy where you travel through space while being attacked by evil spirits. There is also another version, Hyperspace Mountain which features a Star Wars battle above Jakku which is a great way to put a temporary twist on a classic.

Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage

The submarines have been a Tomorrowland staple in Disneyland for decades. This is the modern take on it that saved the Subs from destruction. If it is properly operating this is a great ten-minute journey into the world of Finding Nemo. The problem is that this ride has a bad tendency to have broken special effects, which really hurts the ride experience. It is also a very small ride vehicle which can cause you to be claustrophobic which can be bad because you're trapped in it for upwards of ten minutes.

This is the only opening day ride left in Tomorrowland. It is themed to the great interstate highways of the future.

Ok, its a bit outdated but it's still fun for kids to drive their own miniature car. It recently got nonmoving robots placed throughout it. This really did nothing to help or hurt the ride. This ride smells badly of gasoline. What is fun is at the exit you can get your own Disneyland drivers license.

Star Wars Launch Bay

This is the place where Disney throws anything Star Wars they want. You can meet Darth Vader, Kylo Ren, Boba Fett, Rey and Chewbacca in this building.

This shows movie previews. That's pretty much it. It changes out with whatever current festival is happening.

Galactic Grill

This redo of the Tomorrowland Terrace added a strong menu to what used to be one of the worst restaurants in the park. This is where you should eat in this land.

Alien Pizza Planet (Pizza Port)

Alien Pizza Planet Disneyland

Let's cut to the chase. This place is terrible. DO NOT eat here. The Pizza Planet overlay did not help the food or the decor. If you do wanna eat here I recommend the gluten-free pizza as it is made to order so it will be fresh and is actually better than the normal pizza.
