Mickey and the Magical Map

Mickey and the Magical Map Yensid

Opening Date: May 25th, 2013

The Fantasyland Theatre has been a part of Fantasyland at Disneyland for decades. Starting as a dance hall, it eventually evolved into a more formal performance space and currently features this show featuring Mickey Mouse.

This features Mickey Mouse falling into a map that transports him into the world of Disney Animated films. One of these is Lilo and Stitch which has Stitch dancing to Hawaiian Rollercoaster Ride. This is the only place to see Stitch in the Disneyland Resort without paying for a character meal or doing the Disney Visa photo.

Mickey also gets teleported into The Jungle Book to see King Louie perform a jazzy take on I Wanna Be Like You. This also features one of the best things about this show, the characters actually talk. King Louie is fully expressive throughout the show as are the performers around him.

The best sequence of the show, in my opinion, is the princess segment. This features a medley of Reflection, Just Around the River bend and I See the Light sung by Pocahontas, Mulan, Rapunzel and Flynn Rider.

After learning a lesson, Mickey then goes on one last adventure, down to New Orleans with Princess Tiana where we learn to Dig a Little Deeper and believe in imagination.

Great performances and an impressive set fill this and make it one of the best shows Disney has produced for their theme parks.

Viewing Guide

Honestly pretty much every spot in this theater is a good view of the show. You might not want to be too close though as you may miss some things on the sides of the stage.
